Foundation Courses

Feststellungsprüfung (FSP) or external university qualification assessment test

Our Foundation Courses optimally prepare you for the external university qualification assessment test, the “Feststellungsprüfung” or FSP for short, of the German state of North Rhine-Westphalia.

The test is administered twice a year by the district government of Cologne, in May and in November. The FSP certificate is recognized by all public German universities and entitles you to apply for a university place in the entire country

The test involves written examinations in three subjects as well as an oral examination in one subject. Which subjects are tested depends upon which kind of degree programme you intend to enrol in afterwards. Hence, there are actually different FSPs, for each of which our Foundation Courses prepare you with pinpoint precision.

We will gladly advise you which course you need: info@cd-stk.com

Who must attend a Studienkolleg

Whether or not an international university applicant must take the assessment test in Germany depends on the school or university education acquired in the home country. International applicants whose university entrance qualification is only partially comparable with the German one must take the assessment test before beginning their studies. Detailed information on the countries affected by this requirement is available upon request or in the
